The brain behind ZWO is that of Sam Wen. Sam's commitment to innovation and quality is on point as he eats, breathes, and drinks imaging. High Point Scientific was fortunate enough to get a tour of ZWO's facility in Suzhou, China, and to say we were impressed by their facility, their controls, and their commitment to quality would be an understatement. When you buy a ZWO Camera, filter, or another astronomy accessory, you can be sure that you are buying the very best in mid-range amateur imaging.
One of the most popular is the ZWO ASI224MC Color Imaging Camera. Featuring the Sony IMX224 Color CMOS sensor, the camera also includes a high speed USB 3.0 port, an ST4 guide port, a 2” interface with M42 x 0.75 internal threads, a 1/4” tripod thread mount, and an AR window.
If imaging or observing the planets is your thing, try the ZWO Atmospheric Dispersion Corrector. This essential accessory reduces the effects of optical dispersion that normally produces color fringes when the target is close to the horizon. The result is a sharper image with greater surface detail than was visible before. Both ends are T-threaded and the ADC also includes a 1.25” barrel adapter and a 1.25” eyepiece adapter.
