A Portable Telescope That Packs a Punch. The Sky-Watcher Heritage 150 Tabletop Dobsonian!

In 1668, Sir Isaac Newton sought to develop a telescope that allowed for an increase in aperture with a decrease in overall tube size, resulting in the revolutionary Newtonian telescope. Paying tribute to Sir Isaac Newton and encompassing his vision, Sky-Watcher delivers their Heritage line of Tabletop Dobsonians! These powerful optical assemblies collect copious amounts of light for bright views within your eyepiece, all within a compact, portable body. Perfect for beginners just getting started in astronomy, discover the cosmos with this Sky-Watcher 150 Heritage Tabletop Dobsonian!

With an aperture of 6”, this Heritage 150 Dobsonian offers 44% more light gathering power than a 5" Dobsonain. It also features a limiting magnitude of 13.4 for views of the entire Messier catalog, impressive detail on the planets, stunning sights of the Moon, and plenty more. Hence its namesake, this Dobsonian is small enough to be set atop a table, and weighs just 15.5 lbs for effortless transport. The rubber feet featured on the base enhances its stability while also keeping the vibration to a minimum for stable, steady views. Speaking of the base, Teflon™ bearings produce smooth, accurate slews to any object, and the tension knob offers increased control of the OTA when slewing. Thanks to Sky-Watcher, you have the perfect system for stunning views on the go with this 150 Heritage Tabletop Dobsonian!

Compact, Collapsible Design

As opposed to traditional truss tube designs, this 150 Heritage Tabletop Dobsonian features collapsible struts for heightened convenience. This means there is no worry about losing or breaking any of the struts that would otherwise render the telescope unusable, as every component is confined within one unit. Simply extend or collapse the struts, and you’re all set! This telescope is 48” when extended, and a mere 16.75” when collapsed, making it easy to tuck away for trips to dark skies or for storage when not in use. In addition, the base itself features ergonomic carrying handles that aid in portability.

Powerful Optics Perfect For Beginners

This Sky-Watcher Heritage 150 Tabletop Dobsonian is a small, yet mighty telescope ideal for those new to the world of astronomy. With its user-friendly design and powerful optics, you’re sure to have fun, engaging astronomy sessions night after night. Read more about this tabletop telescope below!
